Announcing Leif Andersen as the 2023 IAQF/Northfield Financial Engineer of the Year
The International Association for Quantitative Finance (IAQF) and Northfield Information Services are thrilled to announce Leif Andersen, Global Co-Head of the Quantitative Strategies & Data Group at Bank of America, as the 2023 IAQF/Northfield Financial Engineer of the Year. Andersen, also an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Courant Institute and Carnegie Mellon University, and the Industry Advisor for our Mathematical Finance MS Program, will be honored at a celebration in New York City in the spring of 2024.
Andersen expressed, “It is an exceptional honor for me to join the ranks of FEOY winners, an esteemed group of scholars and researchers who have long inspired and mentored me.” Northfield President Dan DiBartolomeo praised Andersen’s contributions, highlighting his foundational work in derivatives, credit risk, and interest rates.
The IAQF/Northfield FEOY Award, established in 1993, recognizes significant contributions to quantitative finance. A nominating committee of approximately 60 people, including IAQF board members and senior fellows, reviews nominations through a two-step process led by Dilip Madan, IAQF senior fellow and 2021 FEOY award winner.
