Christos is a senior portfolio manager with significant experience in the research, design, and day-to-day management of very diverse quantitative long-short investment strategies, in equities and across asset classes. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Atlas Ridge Capital, an emerging quantitative hedge fund. Prior to Atlas Ridge, Christos was a Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein, a Senior Portfolio Manager at State Street Global Advisors, and the Deputy Head of Quant Research at Old Mutual Asset Managers in London (now Jupiter Asset Management).
Christos sits on the Advisory Board of Columbia Business School’s Program for Financial Studies, and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU Courant. He is the most recent Past President of the Society of Quantitative Analysts (SQA), the founder of alphathon.org, and has been on the Board of Directors of the SQA since 2013. He is the Chair of the Data Science and Quantitative Investment Group at CFA NY, on the Program Committee of CFA NY, and the recipient of the 2024 CFA NY Research Award. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Cewit Center at Stony Brook University. He is the Chair of Trinity in New York, the Trinity College, Cambridge alumni group. He was on the committees and the Board of Directors of Inquire UK from 2005 to 2016.
Christos received a B.A. (Honors) in Economics from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a PhD in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London, UK.
